Welcome to Schola Cantorum @ Pax Christi

The Pax Christi Schola Cantorum is a ministry of Pax Christi Catholic Church in Littleton, CO. The choir school is a music program for adults and children in the European cathedral tradition. The program’s aim is to promote the musical and spiritual development of its members within the context of the Roman Catholic liturgy, forming Disciples for the lifelong praise and worship of God.

As Pope St. John Paul II so beautifully stated, “Training in singing, in singing in choir, is not only an exercise of the external hearing and voice; it is also an education of the interior hearing, the hearing of the heart, an exercise and an education in life and peace.”

The Pax Christi Schola Cantorum is entrusted to the Patronage of St. Cecilia, martyr and patron saint of musicians. We ask that you join us in praying for the success of the Schola Cantorum.

Eternal God,
You gave us the gift of St. Cecilia, a powerful protector and patron of music.
We strive to pass our days faithfully and innocently like holy St. Cecilia
so that we may come to Heaven where we may praise You in concert with her.
AMEN.

If you or someone you know would like to become a member of the Schola Cantorum, please contact Raymond Ortiz (rfortiz@paxchristi.org) in the parish office.
