VISION OF YOUTH MINISTRY

       Youth ministry is the mission of the Church to reach into the daily lives of young people and show them the presence of God. Youth Ministry provides young people with the opportunities to explore the mission of the Church in order to discern their own personal gifts. It opens doors to opportunities for the use of those gifts within the context of community.  Youth Ministry must be liturgically based in Scripture and gospel values that are grounded in the Eucharistic celebration of Catholic community.

GOALS OF PAX CHRISTI YOUTH MINISTRY

To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ; draw youth to responsible participation in the faith community’s life, mission and work and foster each young person’s personal and spiritual growth.

OBJECTIVES OF PAX CHRISTI YOUTH MINISTRIES

·         To work within the Mission of the Church, the Vision of Youth Ministry, and the Goals of Pax Christi Youth Ministry to create a Catholic Youth community centered in Christ

·         To create an holistic environment of family based ministry for all 6^th through 12 grade youth

·         To provide opportunities to involve youth in  parish, liturgy, community and outreach ministry

·         To work in accord with existing ministries to provide opportunities for personal growth and commitment

·         To provide opportunities for adult involvement within youth ministry

THE MINISTRY OF THE CHURCH IS A COMMON ENDEAVOR THAT UNITES ALL CHRISTIANS IN SHARED RESPONSIBILITY.
