Session I: Hail, Full of Grace:
A Reflection on
Mary’s Place in the Life of Today’s Catholic Woman
Saturday, September
7th, 9:00 – 12:00 noon
Pre-Register by Friday,
AUGUST 30th
Mary stands as a womanly
presence – a sister, a companion, a mother who awakens hope and confidence in
the hearts of her children. This time of
reflection will include an inspiring talk, prayer, and discussion as it invites
women to see how Mary is the ideal role model for every woman facing her
vocation and destiny.
Session II: Guardians of Life:
Understanding the
Groundbreaking Message of Humanae Vitae
Saturday, November
2nd, 9:00 – 12:00 noon
Pre-Register by Friday,
OCTOBER 25th
Of Human Life (Humanae Vitae) made a splash when it was published in the summer of
1968 and continues to make waves today. Produced during the height of the
“sexual revolution” it upholds the ban on contraception as it reiterates the
consistent teaching on the nature of married life. Perhaps best known for its four dire
predictions, all have come to pass since 1968.
Curious Catholics today – especially with the HHS mandate looming – are
giving Humanae Vitae another look and
being surprised and refreshed by the truth.
Session III: Church, What do You Say for Yourself?
A Reflection on the
Extraordinary Message of Vatican II
Saturday, January
4th, 9:00 – 12:00 noon
Pre-Register by Friday,
DECEMBER 27th
Everybody talks about the
Church, but do we all mean the same thing?
Hear about the Catholic Church in her own words as revealed in one of
the most exciting and enduring documents to emerge from the Council! This presentation will explore the riches
from Light of the Nations, the
document that explains the Church’s human and divine origins, her purpose,
structure, and mission.
Session IV: When Life Hurts: Making Sense of Suffering:
Reflecting on
Sorrow as a Path to Holiness
Saturday, March
22nd, 9:00 – 12:00 noon
Pre-Register by Friday,
MARCH 14th
How can a good God allow
suffering? This timeless question of
human existence is addressed in a sensitive and moving letter by Blessed John
Paul II. Reflect on his words and learn
his wisdom while unraveling the mystery of suffering. Be consoled to learn how all human suffering,
when united to Christ on the Cross, can have value, meaning, and purpose, and
even be our road to holiness. Perfect
for Lent!
