Classes & Workshops :: Pax Christi Catholic Church

Beginning in October, we will be offering an ongoing adult series, focusing on life’s questions and their connection to our faith during the Tuesday evening Religious Education classes, 6:15 – 7:30 p.m. Thus, sessions will be held on the first three Tuesdays of every month. Topics for input and discussion will be determined by participants; thus, based on where their faith questions and interests take them. It will be a great opportunity for parents of children in 1^st – 6^th grade religious education to focus on our Faith while their children are in class, as well as an opportunity for any adult to gather and share faith on a regular basis. Call the Parish Office to let us know of your interest in participating.

We will continue to offer one or more ongoing Bible Study sessions for parishioners, beginning again in the fall. Please watch the bulletin for further details.

On Wednesdays beginning January 9th, we will offer an overview of these faiths, noting the similarities and differences in the major tenets of belief and how they connect or disconnect with Catholicism.

For Adults and Teens!

For the third year, at the request of many who attended past retreats given by Fr. Pompei, he is joining us again this January! Fr. Francis Pompei is a Franciscan priest from Holy Name Province and is presently in residence at a Franciscan house in Buffalo, New York. He is the author and director of the Franciscan Mystery Plays that have been presented througoutthe United States for the past 28 years, including twice here at Pax Christi. A native of Oswego, New York, Fr. Pompei has a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy, a Masters Degree in Spirituality, and a certificate in Sign Language for the deaf. Over the years he has spent his ministry working with the poor in the U.S. and abroad and has done extensive retreat work with both adults and teenagers. He plays the bagpipes, enjoys mountain climbing, roller-blading, and a good bowl of pasta!
